Most of us believe voters should pick our leaders, not the other way around.

But this administration is desperately trying to keep our votes from counting so they can decide our futures for us.

So we're not waiting around after the election to be surprised.

We know that bullies everywhere are sore losers, and certain politicians will try to cheat and contest the results.

HANDS OFF OUR VOTE: Stay Ready is a nationwide day of rallies and other community actions planned for Saturday, November 7, the first Saturday after the election.

We need to stay ready to show up in mass protest until every vote is counted and the will of the people prevails, because they can’t stop us.

What to expect

1. Local rallies hosted by neighbors and community groups

2. A shared national moment, with many groups calling for action on the same day, and each event shaped by its own community

3. Simple toolkits and training so anyone can host or join.

A note on timing

The date of Saturday, November 7 is a placeholder.

We're organizing now so that when it matters, we can show up in force. If a specific threat demands it, we will coordinate with partner organizations to either pivot this event or go forward as planned. If there are calls to action beforehand as early as the day after the election, we will join in meeting them.

Whatever happens, we will stay ready.

Hands Off Our Vote events are nonpartisan. A core principle behind our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
